Are You Eligible to Sponsor a Family Member for a UAE Visa?

If you are an expatriate living in the UAE on a Residence Visa, you have the opportunity to bring your loved ones to join you by sponsoring them for a UAE Family Visa. This includes your spouse, children, parents, and even stepchildren, as long as you meet the eligibility requirements.

Sponsoring Your Spouse

For male expatriates, the process is usually straightforward. You can sponsor your wife, and if you are a Muslim resident, you are permitted to sponsor up to two wives.

Sponsoring Your Children

You can sponsor your unmarried daughters, as well as your sons under the age of 18. If your son is a student, you can extend the sponsorship until he reaches 21 years of age.

Sponsoring Your Parents

You can also sponsor your parents, but this requires a deposit of AED 2,500 as a guarantee for each parent. You must also meet specific financial and other requirements to qualify.

Sponsoring Your Stepchildren

If you have stepchildren, you can sponsor them as well, provided you obtain a written No Objection Certificate (NOC) from the biological parent. The visa for stepchildren is initially valid for one year and can be renewed.
